His parents and grandparents already motivated him and would have loved to run a restaurant themselves. In his Rodenkirchen restaurant, Luis Dias proves just how right his career choice was. Fresh, regional ingredients and experiments with various spices and flavours characterise Luis Dias's style. His guests can be sure that they will be impressed with ever-new, unique dishes. Luis Dias is proud of his ability to delight guests with culinary creations.
There's no standing still for the Portuguese native based in Cologne. His own spice line, the BIO FOOD Finisher Spices, is a huge success, and the reopening in the former Höhn’s on Bonner Straße is eagerly awaited. With this, Luis Dias is complementing the city's culinary offerings. Fine food suits Cologne with its long gastronomic tradition and a wide variety of restaurants serving regional and international dishes.
Whatever Luis Dias does: sustainability is also a matter of course in his kitchen. Seasonal and regional ingredients, supporting local producers, and above all, avoiding food waste are very important to him.
Luis Dias' eyes light up when he talks about or with his little daughter. He can relax at markets, doing sports, or reading. In his private life, Luis Dias is happy with cheese, tomatoes, and olive oil!
