Brilliantly simple – the cookbook to the recipe series Great presentation at Cologne's Wolkenburg

They are everyday, yet inventive recipes that the chefs and pâtissiers publish every Saturday in the „Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger“ under the title „Genial einfach“ (Brilliantly Simple). Just under a year ago, the collaboration with the Cologne gourmet festival „Fine Food Days Cologne“ began, and since then, there has been a delicious dish every Saturday – from starter to dessert.

This opulent cookbook, featuring 60 everyday recipes, some previously published and some new, is called „Genial einfach“ and will be released on 12 August by DuMont-Buchverlag. The exclusive culinary book premiere will be celebrated on 18 August in the courtyard of Cologne's Wolkenburg. Chefs and patissiers featured in the cookbook will be serving one of their dishes from the book as finger food. Among them will be Michelin-starred chef Marlon Rademacher from La Cuisine Rademacher, Sönke Höltgen (KölnSKY), Thomas Gilles (Clostermannshof), Jaspreet Dhaliwal-Wilmes (Der Vierte König), and patissière Paula Wollmann (Grubers Restaurant). Wolkenburg's Head Chef Peter Golla will also be contributing exquisite finger food. Accompanying this will be wine from Palatinate vintner Alexander Pflüger, specially produced for the Cologne gourmet festival „Fine Food Days Cologne“.

The cookbook has 192 pages and costs 29 Euros. Of course, it can be purchased on 18th August. And the present professional chefs won't miss the opportunity to sign copies on request. Furthermore, they will be available to provide tips on cooking and their recipes.

The „Brilliantly Simple“ kitchen party is being hosted by the „Fine Food Days Cologne“, the „Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger“ and DuMont Book Publishers. The event will take place on 18 August from 6 pm to 8:30 pm (doors open: 5:30 pm). The number of seats is limited. Tickets at €79 (plus advance booking fee) are available now from Köln-Ticket.
