White, red, rosé – the festival wine of the Fine Food Days Cologne 2026 is, of course, available in the three classic varieties. The wines are produced by the organic winery Markus Klumpp from the Kraichgau region (Baden). And, just like last year, readers of the „Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger“ will be the first to test the quality: the festival wines will be poured for the first time on Monday, 22 June – and with a panoramic view to boot. The Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, together with the Fine Food Days Cologne, is inviting guests to the Köln-Sky event venue opposite Cologne Cathedral. Things get underway at 18:00 (admission: 17:30), and by 20:00 all the wines will have been tasted.
Joachim Frank, chief correspondent for the „Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger“ and wine enthusiast, will talk with winemaker Klumpp about the wines, vines, vintage and style of this special Cologne wine edition. The winemaker will bring along further wines from his range, which can also be tasted and – like the festival wine – ordered for home if you like them. The wine presentation is, so to speak, the first item on the programme of this year's gourmet festival Fine Food Days Cologne, which begins on 30 August with the opening event „Meet & taste“ and concludes with the grand finale on 13 September.
To neutralise the tastebuds between tastings, head chef Sönke Höltgen promises richly delicious finger food from the kitchen. The Frische Paradies in Hürth-Efferen is providing fresh oysters.
