Wagyu from the Lower Rhine – Nose-to-Tail Tasting – 06.09.2026
The Kaiserschote team is inviting you to a special Wagyu tasting at the Seepavillon on Fühlinger See as part of the Fine Food Days Cologne. In an extraordinary atmosphere right by the water, guests will experience the diversity of high-quality Wagyu beef in the spirit of the nose-to-tail principle.
The star of the show is noble Wagyu beef – often referred to as the „Champagne of meats“ and one of the most exclusive forms of beef worldwide. Famous for its exceptional tenderness and fine, even marbling, Wagyu represents the ultimate enjoyment of meat and special quality.
Carsten, Anne and Ralf Schroeder run a family farm in the Lower Rhine region, where they raise and breed Wagyu cattle with great passion – with a modern understanding of sustainable agriculture. Together with head chef Jann Luca Urbschat from Kaiserschote, they present a unique culinary journey through the entire Wagyu steer – from fine tartare to start, through selected special cuts, to surprising interpretations of lesser-known parts of the animal.
A Wagyu beef farmer from the Lower Rhine region offers personal insights into breeding, animal husbandry, quality characteristics, and the particularities of different cuts. The tasting is accompanied by a curated beverage selection that harmoniously enhances the aromas of each course.
