Ik ben kok geworden, omdat mijn grootouders hadden een boerderij en ik heb van jongs af aan meegeholpen met inmaken, koken, bakken, slachten enz. Een stage in de zeer goede restaurantkeuken van mijn oom heeft mij voor dit beroep geïnspireerd.
Als ik geen kok was geworden, was ik Wijnbouwer of affineur.
Mijn stijl kan het best zo worden omschreven: Inmiddels eerder weer klassiek
Mijn vader zei altijd: “Als je op je werk bent, weet ik tenminste waar je bent...". Hij heeft me gevormd en me geleerd dat werken niet schaadt en leuk is (ook al is het soms meer dan 8 uur).
Ontspanning vind ik bij concerten, tijdens het uitlaten van onze hond of met darten met mijn familie. Privé houden we van alles uit de smoker.
Tevreden gasten motiveren mij en ik kijk met trots terug op 35 jaar in mijn beroep. Mijn stijl is inmiddels weer klassieker geworden.
Mijn doel is, Jong talent enthousiasmeren voor dit mooie beroep. Dat past bij Keulen en omgeving, waar zoveel goede restaurants met veel leuke collega's voor lekker eten.
