Al in het eerste jaar werd Maximilian Lorenz door Römer’s Restaurant Report uitgeroepen tot „Chef van het Jaar“ en door GUSTO tot „Nieuwkomer van het Jaar“. Tot april 2018 verdiende Maximilian Lorenz met zijn team in L’escalier één ster in de Gids van Michelin en 16 punten in de Gault&Millau.
Met zijn Catering en evenemententak Sinds 2019 weet Lorenz zijn klanten te betoveren, of het nu gaat om een diner bij kaarslicht voor twee of een meerdaags grootschalig evenement met 5.000 gasten. Met de Maximilian Lorenz-foodtruck, die volledig zelfvoorzienend kan worden geëxploiteerd, zijn zelfs evenementen op een open veld mogelijk.
Als eigenaar van de wijnwinkel maximilian lorenz, schräg gegenüber zijn restaurants en als mede-eigenaar van de Alte Lindenhof in zijn geboorteplaats Bergisch Gladbach, rondt Maximilian zijn onderzoeksportfolio af.
In maart 2022 breidde Lorenz zijn gastronomische portfolio uit met een nieuw restaurant, in de ML STRAATKEUKEN werden gezonde en uitgebalanceerde streetfoodgerechten zoals bowls geserveerd. Het motto hier is: Gezonde, duurzame en heerlijke gerechten toveren. Daarom wordt daar volledig afgezien van geraffineerde suiker en smaakversterkers!
